Christmas Eve is here

It's a bummer not to get to spend Christmas with family, but so far we have a slew of visitors lined up from here till next year! My old roommate, Kimmy, and her husband are visiting from Chicago and dropping by to see us sometime. My other old roommate, Mb, is coming up from Florida and we'll get to spend some time with her. And to take the cake, Kraig Keller and his wife and son are coming to stay with us on New Years' Day, all the way from London. I'm super excited for that and having a rather interesting time borrowing baby paraphenalia to keep Luc safe and comfortable. Apparently, a year and a half into marriage I can't just ask someone if you can use their car seat without getting lots of excited questions about when I'm expecting. Oh, the due date's sometime around...2015...
Sam seems to be really enjoying his new job, so far. He's been a courier for a week now and it's already a massive improvement on his last job. Such luxuries as heat, meals, and clean vocabularies are not included in a window washer's job offer, so this is a nice change. Our washer and dryer also thank him for the change, as they were getting tired of running marathons every other night!
For a couple days now it's sounded like a snowplow was trying to fit down our gas fireplace pipes... I'd wonder about a metallic Santa trying to make the squeeze, but I'm pretty sure Santa knows better than to attempt a gas fireplace. So what could this mysterious sound be?

If you haven't seen The Prestige or Miss Potter yet, go watch them. Now. I can honestly say these two are the best movies I've seen this year, aside from Transformers. If only Optimus Prime would agree to do a film with Ewan McGregor... I can just imagine McGregor singing tenor and Prime singing bass... Oh, and the dance numbers- spectacular! hehehe, that's what I'll wish for on every star, wishbone, birthday candle, eyelash, etc.
